Three Observers

About this app

Three Observers compares the sky seen from three locations on Earth at the same instant. The simulation shows a globe alongside a flat-Earth model to observe how their geometry affects the apparent motion of stars.

The three observers can be moved. Sky and first-person views, synchronized orientation and firmament settings help examine differences between representations.
